Frequently Asked Questions
How does StackDrop work?
A moving block slides back and forth above your growing tower. Tap or press Space to drop it. The overlapping section stays; anything outside falls away. Drop precisely to keep your tower wide, or miss completely and it is game over.
What is a perfect drop?
If you drop within 8 pixels of the tower top's edge, it counts as perfect. Perfect drops restore a small amount of block width and start a combo streak. Three perfects in a row give you a meaningful width bonus.
Is the daily puzzle the same for everyone?
Yes. The daily seed is generated from the UTC date, so every player gets the same block sequence and speed pattern each day. Unlimited mode gives you a fresh random sequence every game.
Does the game get harder over time?
Yes. Every 5 blocks the block speed increases by 10%. The sky gradient shifts from day to sunset to night to aurora as your tower grows, giving you a visual sense of progress.
What Is StackDrop?
StackDrop is a daily precision block-stacking game that runs entirely in your browser. A shared puzzle drops each day using a UTC date seed, so every player worldwide faces the same block sequence. Unlimited mode gives you endless practice with a fresh random seed on every game. No account, no install, no score upload — just stack.
How to Play StackDrop
Press Start, then tap or press Space to drop each sliding block onto your tower. The overlapping section is kept; the overhanging chunk falls away. Miss the tower entirely and it is game over. Drop within 8 pixels of exact alignment for a perfect — perfect drops restore block width and chain into combos that multiply your bonus width restore. Block speed increases every 5 blocks, so precise timing matters more as your tower grows.
Why Block Stacking Games Sharpen Focus
Precision timing games activate the same neural circuits used in real-world motor control and anticipation. Committing to a drop at exactly the right moment under rising speed trains inhibitory control — the ability to hold back and release at a precise cue. Short daily sessions have been shown to improve sustained attention in repeated psychomotor tasks, making StackDrop a useful warm-up for any work requiring fine timing or focused input.
